Ocean Motion
I was out to the beach recently to photograph some new abstract images. After years of working with a large panoramic camera and tripod, I find it refreshing to walk around with a single camera and lens (without a tripod!) and just be creative. Walking around with no plans and just going with the flow. It is easy to get lost in time doing this.
These images were created "in camera" using a slow exposure time (from 1/4 of a second to several seconds). The camera or lens is carefully moved, zoomed, swirled or shaken during the exposure. The captured motion provides a mysterious "fluid" feel to the image.
